Class Dues

What are Class Dues and why should I pay them?

Class Dues are a yearly monetary amount that you pay in order to be an active member of your graduated class.

Paying your class dues ($10) gets you a one-year subscription of the Cornell Alumni Magazine and allows our class to build its treasury to host events such as reunion and local events in major cities after we graduate.

What's the difference between Class Dues and making a gift?

Paying your class dues primarily helps the Class of 2008 build it's treasury for event programming. On the other hand, making a gift to Cornell is making a donation to a Cornell organization or a registered student organization. Gifts to the university help pay for tuition for students, pay for faculty and staff salaries, build financial aid, allow for building maintenance, etc.

How do I benefit by paying my class dues?

Besides getting the year subscription of the Cornell Alumni Magazine and building the class treasury, our class will be able to implement a program called the Class Dues Rewards Program. This program allows our class to give you discounts for various events and services, such as Reunion 2013 discount, Enterprise Car Rental Service discount, and other Ithaca Area discounts. Right now, this is a pilot program, so expect more discounts to be available for services across the nation! Check out Rewards Program website for more information.
