Giving Back To Cornell
"[Annual Fund gifts] permit forms of innovation and collaboration that would be impossible without the flexibility and responsiveness that such funds allow."
- Biddy Martin, Provost
Provost Martin's statement above demonstrates that Cornell Annual Fund gifts are vital to the health and continued growth of the entire university. That's why we are asking you to give back to Cornell, even a $5 gift helps the university to grow and educate its students. Please consider joining the over 1000 Seniors of the Class of 2008 in giving.
Here are a couple of reasons you should give:
- Your full tuition covers less than 60% of the true cost of a Cornell education
- A gift of any size helps the campaign…your participation is what matters most. In fact, if you make an annual fund gift of at least $5, Abby and David Cohen, a dedicated alumni couple, will give an additional $25 to help our class endow a scholarship.
- Over 60% of current undergraduates receive financial aid.
- You can make your gift to the Cornell Annual Fund and leverage the Cohens’ challenge or your can designate your gift to a specific program or area of interest at Cornell.
- You can honor someone special with your gift— parent, coach, sibling, professor, roommate, friend, etc. Honorees receive a letter.
Annual Fund gifts provide unrestricted support for Cornell, which allows the University to put funds to use wherever the need is greatest. You can make your gift to Cornell…or you can designate your gift to the Annual Fund in your college, your major, the Plantations, the Museum, Shoals Marine Lab, Athletics, Student Life, or Scholarships.
