Giving Societies
What are giving societies?
Cornell's giving societies program, begun with the Tower Club in 1961, has helped the University foster its tradition of philanthropy by recognizing its most generous supporters. All senior class giving societies recognize members of the Class of 2008 who have given at a leadership level of participation and, as part of the Cornell Annual Fund, stress the importance of unrestricted giving to the University.
Why should I become a giving society member?
Chater Society. Quadrangle Club. Ivy Society. What does it really mean to be a giving society member? Making an annual gift at one of the giving society levels allows you to play an important role in the financial health of Cornell and make a powerful statement about how much you value a Cornell education.
Also, Ivy Society members will be invited to a special reception during Commencement Weekend with President David J. Skorton and the Board of Trustees.
Which giving socities does the Senior Class Campaign offer?
- Ivy Society ($250 and up)
- Quadrangle Club ($100 to $249)
- Charter Society ($50 to $99)
We are hoping to acheive our goal of 30 Ivy Society members. If you really love Cornell, want to help future students, faculty, and staff, and able financially capable, please consider giving at a leadership level of participation.
